Cancer: Plant-Based Diet Study Summary

Plant Foods
Plant Foods

A study found that men with prostate cancer who ate more plant-based foods after their diagnosis had a 47% lower risk of their cancer progressing. For those with more aggressive cancer (Gleason grade 7 or higher), eating a healthier plant-based diet reduced their risk of progression by 55%. This suggests that improving diet may be an important part of prostate cancer care. Nutritional counseling could be beneficial for prostate cancer patients to support their health.
